Shouldn't I be able to print pics from my Kodak camera when it's hooked up my Kodak photo printer?

I have my camera dock hooked up to my photo printer, when I have the camera on and press share, and then print, why won't it print? They won't print from my computer either and I'm getting really frustratred. What am I doing wrong?

1. In my experience the Kodak dock is not very reliable either for printing direct or through the machine. Better to connect the camera direct to the pc, or put it's memory card in a card reader.
