Does anyone have tips on how to take a professional quality picture with an Olympus OM-1? Please help me take a professional quality picture with this camera. I can't afford to take photography classes. I got the camera given to me. It is an old one but I took some pictures with it and it takes descent pictures. But I have no idea what I am doing with this camera. My camera is a digital camera in which you just point and shoot but this one has a lot of gadets that I dont know how to work. The only thing that it didnt have was an instruction book. It has extension lenses with it too. If you would like to see pictures that I have taken so that you can give me some advice on this camera and my work please IM me. My id is ilovejohn1313 for yahoo messenger. Please I need help and a friend on which to consult. Thanks so much.
OLYMPUS Professional Photographers and friends please help? I'm shooting my first wedding in September, and I have my eye on an external flash unit for my Olympus C-770 digital camera that will connect to my hot shoe with no strings attached. The C-770 does not work well in low light settings with a max ISO of 400. I notice high levels of noise in my pictures when I shoot in low light settings; that is why i'm looking for a flash that will help my indoor pictures look crisp, noise free, and well lit with no harsh shadows. Can anyone recommend an amazing flash unit for my Olympus C-770 that will work well in both indoor and outdoor weddings? I'm looking for a flash that will create a warm glow around the subjects, work well for portraits and large crowd settings in both outdoor and indoor settings. Please help me make a good choice. Thank you ~Mariana
What camera should I get: Canon Rebel XSi or Olympus E420? Ive been looking at these cameras for a LONG time, and its just time to decide. Things I like about each of them: Canon: I love Canon products DOF Preview Software that allows you to take pics from your computer 3 in screen IS lens in kit Id feel all professional :P Olympus: Size - I love how small it is Price: Very decent cam for pretty inexpensive Facial Recognition Menu system So I'm really torn. Does anyone have any personal experience with these cameras?
Professional opinions and insight on the Olympus E-PL1 please...? So, I saw the new Olympus E-PL1 today but before putting the money into it I would like some professional feedback. I'm looking for an entry level camera and I've been looking at the Canon SX20is and the Nikon P100 but this E-PL1 has caught my eye although I've never been a huge Olympus fan. Any feedback / suggestions is and are appreciated, thank you:) For those of you who haven't yet seen the camera, here is a link... http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1501
What is the best professional camera to buy? I'm not a professional photographer, but i am an 16 year old girl interested in photography and i'm looking to get a study camera, preferably a make like Nikon, Canon or Olympus but for under £200? Has anybody got any suggestions, models or makes, or links that you think could help?! Thank you in advance :)
How to make your pictures look professional? I have a Olympus FE-340 8.0 Megapixel camera, I want my pictures too look more professional like family photos or ones you would hang on your wall. Is there a certain setting on the camera or even computer program that i could edit the pictures with to make them look better. Not anything like Picnik Thanks!!
Do professional photographers use anything other than Canon or Nikon? I have been in the wedding video/photo business for over 10 years now, and I have NEVER see a professional photographer use anything other than Nikon or Canon. All of our equipment for photography is Canon (40D and 5D) with all L glass lenses, and all of our video equipment is Canon as well...GL2, XL2, etc... PART 2 of my question is...are all these other companies that make professioanl DSLR's out of luck forever? Like Sony's Alpha, and FujiFilm's Finepix, as well as Olympus, Kodak, and Minolta...do you think they only have a future in the home/amateur based market? "wedding" media isn't all we do...we do dorporate photography, school photo/video, etc...and everyone ther ealways has Nikon and Canon also. (usually Canon) oops, i meant "corporate" not "dorporate", lol why would i need to know anything about medium format cameras?? you make $5,000 a weekend just shooting DSLR/35mm, then who cares. lol LUCIEN - i guess what i really meant was artistic photography...wedding, portraits, glamour, nature, corporate, etc...not really medical imaging or crime scene phtography. Michael M - i do agree. even Nikon lens owners are jealous of Canon "L" glass/lenses
What camera is better Canon 1000D or Olympus E420? I am considering to buy Canon 1000D 18-55 mm with aditional objective 75-300mm or Olympus E 420 14-42 mm with another objective 40-150 mm. Those cameras are sold with 2 obectives. Please, would you advice which one is better. The difference in price is 100 euro. I am not a professional photographer. Thank you!
Can an olympus Evolt e300 be used for professional portraiture work on a budget ? this camera is coming with Zuiko 14 - 45mm f/3.5-5.6 Digital Lens Zuiko 40 - 150mm f/3.5-4.5 Digital Lens Flash is an Olympus FL-36 can this combo be used to produce quality portraiture work ? I wont be using it to shoot action or anything like that. Everything its used for will be in controlled lighting either inside or outside the studio. I appreciate your help. Most thorough answer gets the win. I also have an option to get a Nikon D70S W/ 18-70mm kit lens for about the same price. Would this be better buy / option ? PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION. WOULD THE NIKON D70S WITH THE LENS BE A BETTER BUY THAN THIS OLYMPUS E300 WITH THE LENSES AND THE FLASH ?

What is the best type of professional camera for a beginner? I'm planning on taking a basic photograohy class next semester and I need a decent camera to learn on. I like the macro feature on my little Olympus 7.1 point & shoot but I'm looking to step it up and get some really good quality shots. I like to shoot up close, detailed things and play with different lighting and angles. Any suggestions?
What is the best photo quality camera? (not the professional kind)? We used to have a sony cybershot 5 megapixel and it took great pictures. Now we got the new olympus tough 6000 10 megapixels and it takes terrible quality pics, then we got a new canon that is 10 megapixels and it is also low quality. We can pay up to 300 dollars but we want sharp good pics without dusty looking ones. Plz help because we're going nuts.
Can we use a professional Digital CAM as a webcam? I have a OLYMPUS Camedia C55. 5.1 mp Digital cam. Are there any softwares in the market(free ones pls) which can help me use my digital cam as a webcam? I have heard that there few available in the market. But, i donno where to find them.
Whats a better camera Nikon D40 or Olympus E 510? I'm not a photographer, I just want something with a great quality. Since im not a professional, i have no need for something flashy. Whats a better camera for just quick shots? Like at vacation or just family and friends. Please explain why in a short and concise way but lots of details! Personal experiences would be GREATLY admired! :) THANKSSS!
lighting indoor portraiture shoots without professional equipment? i'm using an olympus e-510 (with tripod) and have tried using several domestic lamps for lighting. i've been struggling with tone and clarity in my photographs, in spite of adjusting manual settings repeatedly throughout my shoots. i can't afford expensive materials and would greatly appreciate any tips and or suggestions on how to use household items to create and reflect light on a subject. thanks in advance! i prefer not using flash.
What type of film does an Olympus OM-2 use? I found my grandfather's old camera, and I thought I knew what film to use, but got some KODAK PLUS-X Pan Professional 125 film on Amazon and it is too big for it. Can anyone help me out?
Buy Nikon D40x SLR camera or cheaper Olympus? Thank you so much? Hi, I am deciding between Nikon D40x and Nikon D80. I also noticed the Olympus E-1 Sears portrait studio is using. I wonder if I need the Nikon since all portraits I got from Sears looks really professional. The Olympus is more then half price from the Nikon. I like the Nikon becouse I know is the best/together with Canon/ but I am also stay home mom with no income so I am try to save. I like my camera to take professional portrait photos. I would like auto mode for ,,no flash,, option. And I like to be able print 16x20 prints from the images I take I have tree older lenses/50,105,70-200/ from Nikon FE2 but still don't understand if the D40X and D80 will take them and how it will use them/just manual?.../ Any advise will be greatly appritiated. Thank you Katerina
I want a more professional, digital camera? ive heard good things about nikon, sony, and olympus, but im not sure what one to get. more professional as in one of the large black ones with huge lenses. (as you can tell, i havent done a lot of research) so, any suggestions on what to buy? it cant be to expensive thanks
What digital cam under $400 will allow me to take macro shots as well as general professional looking photos? I want the camera to be small and sleek so that it could fit into my pocket. Currently I have Olympus Stylus Verve with 4.0 megapixels and although it takes decent shots overall, it has many drawbacks. First, it doesn't take macro shots and when I try they become blurry. It doesn't zoom in very far and I would like it to zoom in at least 20 feet or so and capture the object in good focus. Whenever there's not enough light, meaning anything other than bright sun, it turns on the flash automatically and takes super bright washed out pics. When I set it on the non-flash feature, the picture comes out blurry. Also, any slight hand movement will cause the picture to come out blurry as well. Right now it has 4 megapixels and I would like a cam with more megapixels - enough to capture objects crisply from dozens of feet away. This camera is pretty basic so I'm not familiar with the more complicated ones and don't know the terminology (f-stop, etc) so I'd like a cam that isn't too complicated I don't want to have to fiddle with a bunch of buttons to take a shot - I want to be able to point, zoom, and shoot. Unless some minor fiddling will drastically improve the look of the shot... Also I'd like the battery life of the cam to be decent - last time I took my cam on vacation, the battery died in 2 days after being fully charged and I couldn't charge it since the outlets were different. So I want this cam to have a long battery life. I'd really appreciate some advice as to which cam would work well for me given my preferences. Please include links with pictures of it if you can. Thank you.
How good is the olympus om-2? my friend just handed me one yesterday because his mom was going to throw it away. it looks pretty professional. id just like some extra opinions on it.
Professional Photography Camera Comparisons? I'm looking to further my photography with a new camera (right now I have a fujifilm point and shoot) and I'm really thinking about the Nikon D5000 but I don't want to limit myself to"just nikon and canon". I'm also thinking about an Olympus DSLR, but I've heard some fantastic but also some horrid reviews about them. But also I love the pictures taken by a Sony DLSR A500. Help please?
Software like OLYMPUS studio? Does anyone know of any professional software like olympus studio? Olympus studio just wont work on my computer so i would like some software which is just like it for mac? Thanks in advance I downloaded the trial which mellowfellow gave me but when i download it, it just comes up with this black box which i can see anything in but if i click about i can end up selecting things? any reason why or does any one KNOW of any DIFFERENT software LIKE olympus studio? (DIFFERENT SOFTWARE LIKE IT)
Is the Olympus E3 the right camera? I'm not the most enlightened person on the subject of photography but I love it and I have progressively bought better and better cameras over the years. I want a professional grade camera but I'm not sure if I should go with an Olympus E3 or a Nikon D3 or what. I'm going to be minoring in photography so I will be needing/wanting a good camera but I'd like to know which one. THANK YOU!!!
the Olympus cameras ...? does Olympus have very good professional cameras? I mean at the same level like nikon, canon? .. i have olympus and i think to start buyng lens for it but in future if I want something more pro i will have to buy new lens ...so is there any Oly model which is very pro like nikon, canon pro models?
Do All Olympus Dslr Models Use the Same Lenses? I'm looking for the perfect dslr for me and canon and nikon are not what I'm looking for so please don't suggest them. I'm looking into Olympus and Sony models. I am a student and my budget is around $500-800. My main problem is later on when I upgrade to a Professional dslr(either olympus e-620 or sony a330 whatever one i choose) I would like to use the lenses I invested in for whatever previous model I choose. I don't have a lot of money and I think it would be a waist if I bought lenses and couldn't use them in the future.
Which Camera Is More Professional? As a professional, which do you choose? -Olympus Evolt E-410 -Nikon Rebel XTi -Nikon D40 Or May be you'd recommend something else? Are these cameras considered "beginner" ones?

Do I have what it takes to be a professional photographer? Yahoo! Answers Is not letting me put a link to my facebook page or google, or anything... my page is titled Matthew J's Graphic Arts. I've been taking photos ever since I got my Olympus camera for Christmas of 2009. Here's my flickr account (I just made it): http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewjsgraphicarts/
Trying to get through all the hype of digital camera recommedations!? I'm trying to pick a digital camera and all the hype gives me a headache! DSLR, P&S, Raw, Tiff, Jpeg. "amateur," 'prosumer', professional! I got an olympus 5000 as a gift last year and I've won two photo awards; one for nude photography & one for architectural photography. The way people write, you'd think photography is rocket science. Geez. my friend who does covers for fashion magazines said about being a photographer, 'all you need to do is push a button.' I'm looking at a G7 which everybody complains about as not having RAW to the point where it sounds like the biggest sin since Adam & Eve. I can't stand the heavy DSLR cameras. I hear that pro cameras have better components so they'll last for years. I got a film SLR when I was 13 and after 17 years of banging it up through jungles and climbing mountains, it works great. I am on a budget and I'm no into photography to make manufacturer's rich; I do it to take good photos. So can I stick with my G7 P&S choice?
take more professional looking pictures? Hello there, I have an Olympus 1030SW digital camera. I was wondering how to take more professional looking pictures with out buying a more complex camera. More specifically the very in focus pictures with objects with a blurry-background looking effect. I'm taking a trip soon so it would be nice to know how to take better pictures! Thanks!!
Olympus digital camera? What's your opinion on this brand (Olympus)? I just bought one for 140 and we're thinking of exchanging it for another brand, maybe around 200 dollars? What brand do you suggest? Nothing near professional material, but I do need it for my yearbook class and they always stick me with sports.
Olympus Evolt E-510? My passion for photography began a little over a year ago with my Sony Cybershot DSC-W100. I feel like this simple point-and-shoot (with automatic everything) is suppressing my creative abilities that photography is all about. I'm just a 16 photographer but now that I have began getting job offers, I am looking to upgrade to a professional DSLR. After some research, I've become fond of the Olympus Evolt E-510. Although I am a firm believer that the photographer makes the picture, not the camera, I do want something professional to work with for the sake of my (future) customers. So, what I'm getting to - is the Olympus Evolt E-510 a good professional camera (why or why not) and do you have a better recomendation within or around the same price range? Thanks!
The best professional camera? Well i absolutely love photography and i'm looking to save up money to get a professional camera.. so im new to which kind is the best. i have heard nikon's good, olympus is good, and canon. I'm into art, and want to try out photography...What camera should i get? I'm really into art, but have recently considered getting into photography more, so I'm planning to buy a more professional camera, what do you recommend? I heard Olympus isn't that good, I'm considering Panasonic GF-1... is it worth it? I currently don't know much about photography. I'm also planning to go to an art college so the camera wouldn't be put to waste after a year or two, but would most likely be used for a while.
I have an Olympus E-Volt 510 & want to buy a macro lens...? I'm not very familiar with macro lenses. I want one that can go really up close & professional. Any help please? I'm thinking of this lens...what do you think? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015AOU9Q/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
What type of cheap lighting system to use for amater photography? I have done photography in a professional studio for a few years now. I am wanting to start doing some work on the side now out of my garage, not to mention doing pics of my own family. I am using an Olympus E-1 and a Konica Minolta 5D. I have been doing photography outdoors of my kids, but since we are converting our garage to a studio, I need info on indoor lighting. I am on a fixed budget however. Any suggestions?
A question fo professional photographers? Hi this is Ankesh and I am planning to purchase a slim and sleek digital camera. How I can take a great photo of a painting? I need take a professional photos of paintings to make a catalog. I have a camera Olympus Camedia C-4000, 4 megapixels. Please, give me the parameters of lens and details to make gorgeus pics. Serious answers, please.
What camera do you use for everyday (or professional) photo snapping? I am just wondering what brand you use. Canon? Olympus? Nikon? Preferably for a digital SLR. I want to hear why you like it and if you've used it for long. Just trying to get an idea before I buy my own. What would you recommend? And particular likes/dislikes about a certain brand? Tips? Tricks? Thanks~ I didn't ask for a sarcastic and mean-spirited - and not to mention unwanted - comment. I just wanted a decent opinion or something positive to add.
olympus 710 digital camera? i was considering getting this camera... i already have a regular olympus camera and i love its quality... but i was still wondering if anyone could find any professional reviews on this camera and, if i bought it, any accessories or memory cards, etc, that i might also need to buy with it... here's the URL: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11118329&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&N=4001482&Mo=6&pos=7&No=6&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=4471&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&Sp=C&ec=&topnav=
What's The Best Brand Of Digital Camera For My Situation? Hello, I am looking for some good advice on what brand and/or model of digicam I should go for. I have always been partial to Olympus, but I see less than stellar reviews on them recently. I have been to steves-digicams already, and as good of a site it is, it's also overwhelming. I want a point and shoot that has that SLR look. Minimum 5.0 MP and at least 3X optical. I am going to be using it primarily for personal use, but some professional that requires a little more quality at times. I am not looking to break the bank on one, but I realize those wants come at a price. I am looking at $200 range, and not any higher than $250. So what do all you professionals out there think would work for me?

Olympus Camera opinions needed!? I found this Olympus IS50 28-120mm Wide Zoom Camera in my attic and thought it might be a nice camera to use. I need some opinions? I'm not much into photography YET so I'm not sure. I know its a very old camera but would it take professional looking pictures? Here is the exact camera: http://www.heartlandamerica.com/browse/item.asp?product=olympus-28-120-zoom-camera&PIN=35686
What is a good camera? I really want a good qaulity camera. like professional kind of camera. I know olympus are good cameras but i dont know which one. i love photography and right now i have a Kodak. that doesn't work. which also brings me to my next question? why isn't my kodak working. i've left it on the charger and it works when i put it on the plug it charger but when i take it off it doesn't work. any help? it was 200 dollars and i've only had it for 6 months but it came with no warrenty. what do i need to do? sorry i wasn't really clear on that one. i do want a digital camera. and i want it to be good enough to send in photography contests to sell and stuff like that! it would be helpful if it i could actually get a specific model of a camera thats good. oh by the way i got it as a birthday gift my dad bought it off of ebay. thats why i dont have a warrenty.
Canon Rebel XSI or Olympus E-420? I want to start professional photography and therefore I want to buy my first DSLR. I am thinking between Canon Rebel XSI and Olympus E-420. I want to know your comments on this. Since XSI is more expensive than E-420 I want to know if it really worth it to go with XSI.

Olympus E-410, Nikon D40, Canon rebel, Sony alpha A300 or Nikon D60? i am twelve years old and im very into photography www.flickr.com/dutchman122 as you can see i love taking photos of the dragonflies that come in our yard every spring/summer and i want to become more intimediate My dilemma is i dont know which dslr to buy my choices are: 1.Nikon D40 18-55mm $410 amazon 2.Nikon D60 18-55 vr $525 amazon 3.Olympus E-410 14-42 + 40-150mm $430 amazon 4.Canon Rebel XS 18-55 IS $530 amazon 5.Canon Rebel Xti 18-55 IS $600 amazon 6.Sony Alpha A300 18-70mm $500 amazon I want to be able to take macros of the dragonflies too and with the 40-150mm lens on the E-410 i would be able to right? But if i want to become more professional nikon and canon would offer a larger range of lenses. So can somebody help me?
Olympus e520, pleasently surprised with DSLR. Why does everyone talk about Nikon/Canon Only? Got it from sams club promition 2 lenses with kit bag. Heard only about Nikon/Canon. After scratching heads for a few months, I bought this and was pleasently surprised. Impressive First Pics, Image quality dencent. Excellent Live View, Light Weight, Build quality impressive, Dust removal, 2 lenses & accesories like lens hood caps, nice olympus bag all less than $600. What else do I need for a begining DSLR enthuasist? My other bet was G10. as D40 didnt impress me. lack of live view, dust cleaning. Wondering is there a catch? Am I missing something ? Obviously bells and whistles are not important, goal is to invest in long-term "Good/Great" pictures for life/family. Not a professional just for myselft & family. I am transition from P&S to DSLR from canon sd1000 to dslr, didnt like D40 because of no live view, dont like the view finder. Am I stupidly novice or really seeing light different as not following the herd of Nikon/Canon's? Hardly people talk about E520, even no review on cnet. So little hesitant if I am jumping to conclusions..
Nikon D40/D40x vs Olympus? help!? Thanks in advance. I'm having a baby in January and always knew I wanted to buy a nice camera for the occasion (I love taking pictures, and will even more once he is here). I have researched online, talked to a few professional photographer friends, and still am confused as to which camera is right for me. I know alot about the Nikon D40 and the D40x, but cannot decide if it is worth the extra money to get the D40x? I would hate one year from now to regret not getting the 10mp camera vs the 6mp (even though I know 6mp tends to be plenty unless I plan on blowing up images to a certain point or zooming and cropping - and much of this difference lies on the OTHER side of the camera - as in the photographer). Then someone mentioned the Olympus E410 - how does that compare to the Nikon in quality/versatility/etc? Am I forgetting any other option? (I know there is the Canon, and through my research have determined that bw the Nikon and the Canon its just a matter of brand preference) OK - so I think it may be between the D40 and the D40x. SO the question remains: is it worth the money for the extra megapixels?? is the d40x better than the D40? this is where I am having the most trouble deciding....
Should I purchase this Olympus camera? i've been interested in the Olympus FE-360 lately. it's super slim, and seems easy to use. but i'm not sure if it's a good quality camera. i'm not looking for anything professional or anything, but i dont want a camera that takes bad quality pictures. (i've had bad experience with off-brand, bad quality cameras.) i'm going to best buy today, so i was going to go check the camera out, and maybe ask someone about it. also, the website says it has an adapter for a microSDHC memory card. my memory card says its a 512MB SD, so would it fit in the camera?
Best professional camera for a beginner? I have a pretty good compact Olympus that I've been using for just over two years, but I want to get into taking more professional shots. I'm looking for an affordable camera (preferably Canon or Nikon) that will give me a basic understanding of photography but will last me a lifetime; I don't want to have to buy another camera because it is too 'basic'. One of my cousins who is into wedding photography, suggested a Canon, but I've forgotten the model. I'm pretty sure it had '300' in it... but I don't specifically have a certain model in mind.
Advice for a first professional camera? Hi there, I need some advice for my first professional camera as i am looking into registering into photography school as well as in making my first portfolio for a photography career i have my eyes set on! I was originally pretty set on purchasing the Canon eos 5d Mark II but thought i would ask some advice from some other photographer pros on how the Nikon/olympus/ect.. measure up?? Also i would prefer the camera's advised to be in and around the 3000.00 price point, but of course feel free to advise camera's beyond that price point if you feel they far exceed the canon mark II. Thanks
How can I take pictures that look professional? How can I take pictures that look professional? No, I am not gonna run to buy a pro camera. I've got a digital one, olympus and i'm pretty happy with it. I just need some suggestions on how I can make my pics look nicer and more alive. Maybe if I use a study lamp and point it in some direction? I dont know.. Oh and there are different types of pro photos as well.. some that make you look extremely hot, using make-up and lighting (mostly for models) and some that make you look pretty and natural (for portraits of kids and families). Help!! Thanks x
What is the best type of digital camera? I have used Kodak & Fuji for digital cameras. the Kodak was 6.0mp and the Fuji is 9.0mp Right now I am thinking about getting a 10.0-10.2mp digital camera as I love taking pictures. I want something simple and nothing big. I am also doing research on circuitycity.com and bestbuy.com comparing my Fuji with the others. But I would like to know which camera you would suggest out of Canon, Casio, Fuji, Olympus, and Sony. Kodak doesn't have anything great in the high mp's unless its a professional big camera. Please let me know and you're reason! Thank you :) price doesn't matter too me. I guess under $600 is fine.
I want a good SLR like digital camera that has underwater housing? The Olympus SP 550 UZ is 545 GBP (both camera and housing) but gets mixed reviews. !!! Does this come with a wide angle lens as standard?? The Canon S3 - IS looks great but the housing is the very professional 60 meter version and very expensive 500 GBP Does anyone know if Canon is planning a 40 meter housing? like with the S1 - IS? I love the Fuji Fine pixs 9500 looks hot but can't find a housing for it :o( Will they be planning one? I'm willing to spend 600 on it all All SLR cameras are too expensive and too professional (me being a amatuer) I want good zoom, wide angle and macro (lens?) I have a great compact for compact occasions but the housings have been discontinued and besides i want to treat myself to a really good camera for my diving and arty pics. Is their a good place to talk to divers who might have these cameras so i can talk to people like me? Any advice greatly appreciated people cheers?
Which Camera? Canon A650 / Olympus FE240 / Olympus Stylus u ...? Which is the best? I think of FE240, but u series are the newest (and more expensive ofcourse!). The canon one is made in China... Or do you suggest something else? I'm not a professional photographer and I'll only use it in parties or on picnics; however I want good quality pictures. Do you thing it's worth to pay more and get a better one for my use?
Olympus SP-550 UltraZoom? im thinking about purchasing this model but i dont know much about cameras so im hoping to get some advice on whether its a decent camera or not. im looking for a high zoom, megap, and good quality camera with a non-professional tech and price. So please comment on this camera and if you know any other cameras that i might like, let me know! Best answer will get 10 pts. thanks!!
Olympus FE-340 or Canon Powershot? I like canon and thier shooting modes. Does anyone have a Olypus? The FE-340 says it has 19 shooting modes, what are they? The Dealbreaker right now is pretty much if the olypus has a "color accent" mode alot like the canons. (everything is black and white, except for objects with a certain color which you choose.) I'm a amateur photographer, but one day i hope to be a professional one, (i'm still in highschool) so i don't really want a BEGINNER beginner one, but not a professional one. I just want a good quality camera. I really need to decide fast. Thank you Guys!
Olympus FE-20 vs. Kodak Easyshare m893? I want to get a camera on Black Friday, and it has to be $100 or less. After an hour of searching Black Friday deals online I've shortened my choices to these two cameras. Of course, I'm no professional photographer, so I don't know much about cameras. I'm just going off reviews from this site: http://www.cameras.co.uk/ What I actually need is a camera that can take good pics, even when I'm moving. It also needs to be able to take decent videos of non-moving or slow moving objects. I don't think that's too much to ask for. If anyone has suggestions for better cameras then I would GREATLY appreciate it. Plus, you'll get 10 points. Both Cameras have: - 8 MP - 3x Optical Zoom - Both are $100 (on Black Friday sale) Kodak has: - Image stabilization - 2.7" LCD - Got a 79/100 on website Olympus has: - 2.5" LCD and no stabilization - Got 81/100
Which should I get: Olympus E-520 or Canon Rebel XSi? I'm upgrading to my first SLR Camera, and I'm unsure which one to get. I do not need one for professional purposes. I just enjoy photography as a hobby, and I'm interested in investing in my own SLR. Also, I have a few other questions that I'm unsure about: a) Is there a difference between an SLR and a DSLR? b) How do I know what a specific lens is good for? For example, the one camera comes with a 40-150mm lens. What does that mean? c) What lens would you recommend? I'd like something for Action and preferably on the cheaper side. As I said before, I just do it as a hobby. Thanks in advance!
